Turkey Time


Our Christmas turkeys are magnificent. They are free range, herb fed Bronze turkeys, plump of breast and moist of thigh. They are reared traditionally on a farm near Thirsk in Yorkshire by a chap called Ed Wilkinson (pictured above with your turkey, eating its herbs) who also provides our amazing herb fed chickens. The turkeys are free to graze and forage for food, roam in acres of Yorkshire pasture at the foot of the Hambleton Hills and are fed on a diet that includes over 10 varieties of fresh herbs.

To reduce stress the turkeys are killed on the farm and carefully processed in their approved facility. They are properly hung for 14 days to ensure fuller flavour, firmer textured meat and dry plucked and waxed to give the finest finish. The turkeys are individually boxed in a white box with the company logo on. Included are vacuum packed giblets, cooking instructions, a pack of fresh herbs and a recipe for the ‘perfect Christmas stuffing’.

Which is all well and good but what do they TASTE LIKE? We sold a few of these beauties in November for Thanksgiving and here are a few unprompted responses:
