Great staff required for our pub!



Hello – as mentioned on these pages previously, Dave and I have decided that having a pub might be quite fun.  We have taken over The Hour Glass on Brompton Road – a grand old boozer in the best traditions of grand old London boozers. The refurbishment is now complete, give or take the 106 items on the snagging list that need to be done this week and we are SO excited about how beautiful it is going to be. The fabric and atmosphere is still very much of an old fashioned drinking pub – great beer, delicious bar snacks and a warm welcome. Hospitality is EVERYTHING. We also have a brand new dining room and kitchen on the 1st floor.

We have a great new Landlord – Henry who has managed some of London’s most iconic pubs and a Head Chef, Tim who has experience in some of London’s finest kitchens. They are both exceptional communicators and teachers and want to pass on their experience to ambitious, happy staff.

We are proud at Brompton Food Market to have have retained staff from the day we opened, 18 months ago who are now in management positions. We would love to do the same at The Hour Glass.

You will receive a competitive wage, varied shift structure and unlike certain other shits in this industry we will make sure you get ALL of your tips.

We are currently looking for:

Front of House and Bar Staff – ideally you will be comfortable working behind a bar and serving tables. You will have a great attitude – we want every single person who steps through the door to feel like they are in their own living room

CDP – Working with Tim and the sous chef to turn out great, seasonal British food – you will be eager to learn, reliable and have a good temperament – we have an open pass and a light airy, brand new kitchen. It will be a great place to work.

Kitchen Porter/Commis – The most important person in the business! You will keep the kitchen running – be eager to learn new skills and work fast and efficiently – our greatest joy would be to see the KP at The Hour Glass be head chef in his own kitchen one day.
